Dear Friends, Colleagues and Participants,

Tony and I have been writing and editing for over a year since first showing having the idea to write a book for those who show interest in Family Constellations and want to understand more about its concepts and practice as well as what happens at a workshop? Tony and I are so pleased to be offering our book to inform, guide and inspire!

I am eagerly awaiting a drop off of the books tonight, before flying to Aotearoa in the morning. Nothing like cutting it fine! We have tried to perfect every word so as to bring you an accessible description of Family Systemic Constellation workshops and principles. We have interspersed this learning with our personal stories and collections of our poetry, haiku and song lyrics to further encourage and guide you.

From preparation and arrival at a workshop to caring for yourself during and following a constellation or participating in a day, you will find important information on the guiding principles and what to expect on a day at a workshop. We include our own learnings, reflections and inspiration for being involved in this healing work with others. We both believe that to heal the past, allows us freedom, so that love can flow and we can dream a more peaceful world together.

I will be attending ANZCI 2025, and I am looking forward to learning more from esteemed facilitators and experiencing the healing power of Family Systemic Constellations. If I have your email address when you signed up for the book last year, I will be keeping aside a copy for you.

The original definition for the word compassion stems from the Latin prefix com meaning together and passio which means to suffer.

Over the last 20 years Family Constellation workshops have spread exponentially around the world. The reason for participation is found in the realisation that present day difficulties in our lives can have their origins in our family systems. We can carry unresolved burdens from our ancestors who experienced such things as war, relationship difficulties, emigration, exclusion, famine, shame, murder, early death, disease and many other fates. Most of us then, are caught up in the complexity of our family legacy.
